Defcon’s singular production style marries crisp, addictive hip-hop drum patterns with an altogether more other-worldly palette of sounds – blending decimated soul and funk samples with sci-fi synth atmospheres, dub pyrotechnics and over-lapping layers of rich, textural detail.

His debut release – In Binary Shrines has enjoyed airplay on BBC Radio 1; coverage by Xlr8r and AU magazine; and DJ support from the likes of Boxcutter (Planet Mu) and Cosmin TRG (50weapons, Rush Hour). Defcon tracks have also previously featured on Mary Anne Hobbs’ legendary BBC Radio 1 experimental show.
